Lol. I was looking at some slides on Cbs2.com and couldn't stop myself from laughing. It's just too funny, I couldn't resist. What were these people thinking?

Asian Persuasion

I was looking at Stella McCartney's new collection and realized something,a striking resemblance to my favorite Japanese treat, Botan rice candy;from the color scheme--to the brilliant use of the Camellia flower.I don't know the true inspiration behind the dress but,I was so excited to see Camellia prints that reflect Japanese culture.

You plant your brassicas in May,cover them in mulch. --Vince
Re-discovered this claymation series on Hulu about a year ago, but I completely forgot to share it until now. This show was too cool for its time in 1998, when all my peers were obsessed with TRL, Pokemon and bubblegum pop. Perhaps, the humor was too sophisticated for the average twelve year old. There are only 26 episodes, but, alas nothing good can last forever. With that being said, I thought the show was strangely compelling, especially Vince, my favorite character.Vince is regarded as a pet in the household, which is ironic. He is only capable of stringing a maximum of two or three words together while speaking, and had an alcohol-like addiction to soy sauce. Vince suffers from Random Pavarotti Disease, causing him to randomly blurt out opera-like singing. He's simply an insane character with buckteeth, irregular eyes yet adorable.

Neo-Expressionism
(images from outnet.com, neta-porter,agant88.wordpress.com,bsu.edu)

Neo-expressionism has made a comeback. This style of painting began in the late 70's in NY,West Germany and Italy as a reaction against minimalism. In the 1980's Neo-Expressionism became a dominant force in avant-garde art. With this style of modern painting, artists handled materials in a really rough, violent and raw way, showing dark, passionate emotions.I'm so excited that Neo-Expressionism has influenced designers and brands like Preen,McQ,Missoni and Matthew Williamson. Each piece is an investment and is to be cherished for many years to come.
