I was introduced to this wonderful cartoon in my Russian history class. It's quite a treat and I must say, I prefer this Winnie the Pooh over the American version. Winnie is much more masculine, mischievous in this version.

I've been living in my linen blouse from J.Crew ever since I purchased it from a secondhand store, the fabric is very soft and comfortable, the only downside are the wrinkles;I spent about half and hour smoothing them out with a steamer before leaving the house. If J. Crew made sturdier linen shirts, I would be more than willing to pay full price.

Time Warp

A picture is worth a thousand words? I guess you could say that. Looking at these pictures brings back so many memories of bad Asian bowl style haircuts, my obsession with baggy clothes, Vans sneakers as an eleven year old. I was a complete tomboy until high school. But personally these photos invoke memories of such a fragile age, a time of teenage angst, unrequited crushes, dealing with bratty, rude teenage girls/boys, insecurities, trying to fit in yet stand out at the same time. Now that I am older and perhaps you could say,a little wiser I'm going to be very blunt, "you are not special". You have to earn respect and prove your worth. When high school is over no one will care if you were once "popular". Be nice to those students that do not follow the pack,as they are the future innovators, lawyers, doctors you depend on.

I had the strangest dream last night, I was 15 again but instead of being a band geek/Emo chick and doing slave labor for yearbook, my best friends were Rayanne Graff, Angela Chase and Rickie Vasquez. We spent our days ditching school, loitering in record stores, we spent our nights swooning over Jordan Catalono's abs and bedroom eyes. As the fourth member of Rayanne's clique my style would combine Rayanne's free spirit and penchant for statement jewelry, Rickie's love of black eyeliner, vests and Angela's simplicity.

Lurking designers, if you are reading this please stop making mullet skirts,mullet dresses and shirts (they make me cringe)  and start making more structured dresses.
